Discussion on the (deprecated) VideoLAN Server application as well as the miniSAPserver stream announcer. This is not about VLC!

Does vlc support methods: SET_PARAMETER and GET_PARAMETER, when it is used as a RTSP-SERVER

There is support for the GET_PARAMETER function within the code in the subversion repository, but there is presently no support for SET_PARAMETER (meaning that the GET_PARAMETER is only of use for maintaining session [although this too is a misnomer as VLC does not maintain session information across connections]).
