vlc playlist ... how to make it?

Discussion on the (deprecated) VideoLAN Server application as well as the miniSAPserver stream announcer. This is not about VLC!

vlc playlist ... how to make it?

Postby M@xX » 04 Jul 2005 10:03

I am starting vlc:

vlc -vvv /radio/video/source/ input_stream --sout '#transcode{vcodec=DIV3,vb=100,scale=1,width=400,acodec=mp3,ab=32,channels=2}:std{access=mmsh,mux=asfh,url=213.234.255.xxx:8080,name=" Tv"}'

vlc plays video files from directory /radio/video/source/ but in random order.

How to make a playlist?

I want to play some files at exact time, is it possible?

to stream using a schedule, have a look at VLC's vlm component : http://www.videolan.org/doc/ streaming howto chapter 5

to stream files in order, a simple method would be to list all those files on the VLC command line

o'key..
and some more questions:

How can I play files in circle, because after the last video file server didn't play again.

And another:

server is streaming video:

vlc -vvv /radio/video/source/ input_stream --sout '#transcode{vcodec=DIV3,vb=100,scale=1,width=400,acodec=mp3,ab=32,channels=2}:std{access=mmsh,mux=asfh,url=213.234.255.xxx:8080,name=" Tv"}'

and I want at 10.00 to play files in /radio/video/source2/
Can you give me a example.
I didn't understand it in the documentation.
