Need help! live broadcast server!

I want to make a website with live streaming, something like http://www.livestream.com/ , for my country! (an online television ) I do not know exactly what I need. Also if you cannot tell me everything, I can pay a developer to help me. I am a webdesigner, but I am new with this video stuff! Please help, thanks!

From what I know you will need two servers. Website server which will work as the face and the video server where all the sterams will be located. Since you are webdesigner you should be fine with web server so you have to work on video which should not be your web server *must be seperate. Check out the how to section in vlc database. One of the questions would be will your website be free or paid. If paid you must also work on client management. Best way is to go with cms system. Then you must work on your content protection. pay some php guru to help you out with this and you'll be all set.
