vlc as a background process?

Postby DeanoDeano » 13 May 2005 16:06

Hi chaps

Anyone know of a way of making vlc run in the background on a Debian Linux?

Normally to leave a process running when I leave a shell I'd do 'nohup processname &'

When I do that with vlc it dies almost immediately with no indication as to why in the -vvv output.

Any ideas please?
