Installing miniSAPserver help

Discussion on the (deprecated) VideoLAN Server application as well as the miniSAPserver stream announcer. This is not about VLC!

Installing miniSAPserver help

I am sure this is going to be more of a Linux question than a miniSAPserver question.
I downloaded miniSAPserver-0.3.4.tar.bz2, and then ran the following lines below.
At configure I get feel back that is saying that I do not have a complier.
I am running Redhat and I am not extremely proficient with Linux, any help would be appreciated.

% tar xvzf miniSAPserver-version.tar.gz % cd miniSAPserver-version % ./configure % make
