VLC Windows Client freeze with miniSAPServer Announcements

Postby Athlon2x » 09 Jun 2007 15:55

Hi all !

I've a quite strange problem.
I'm using the last MiniSAPServer (0.3.4) and the last VLC Windows Client 0.8.6b

I produce SAP announcement from a linux server for multicast streams.
When i start a vlc client, it freezes and i have some difficulties to close it.
When i stop SAP announcement from the linux server, the vlc client goes back running well.

It looks like VLC try to open all streams (only 2 at the moment) and crash.

Any idea ? Any question ?

This is my Sap.cfg :

Code: Select all

#test [program] name=channel user=Antoine - Athlon2x machine=172.16.4.230 site=http://www.m.fr address=239.200.200.200 port=1234 playlist_group=MT [program] name=channel2 user=Antoine - Athlon2x machine=172.16.4.230 site=http://www.m.fr address=239.200.200.201 port=1234 playlist_group=MT

That's ok, i fund the problem.

The sap_delay parameter should by in seconds but in fact, it is in milliseconds.

So think to multiply by 1000 in the next release ...

Bye Antoine

PS : Thanks tcpdump :)
