Remote Control and sending multiple streams

Discussion on the (deprecated) VideoLAN Server application as well as the miniSAPserver stream announcer. This is not about VLC!

Remote Control and sending multiple streams

Postby barcobob » 22 Mar 2007 22:56

I use VLC to stream a number of MPEG 2 streams as test signals - Multicast UDP that can be selected and decoded by some accelerated hardware.

I want to tidy this up and have a screenless Video server that I can control remotely (not fussed if it is Linux or Windows)

I wonder what you think is the best way to achieve a consistant interface to select and stream 8 files ?

All suggestions gratefully received

Thanks

Bob :D

Hello,
read the documentation - there are several options how to control VLC remotely - e.g. http intf + VLM.....
