Problem with Windows Media Services encoding a VLC stream

Discussion on the (deprecated) VideoLAN Server application as well as the miniSAPserver stream announcer. This is not about VLC!

Problem with Windows Media Services encoding a VLC stream

Postby bklambdin » 14 Feb 2007 17:32

I have a AVN 210 MPEG2 encoder streaming ball games to a AMINO decoder, and I inject this into the local cable system.

I would like to grab this unicast stream with VLC, then send out two streams, one the AMINO and the other to a Windows Media services server so I can stream the games over the internet and archive them for VOD later.

I'm having problems getting the WMS to view the stream from VLC.

Does anyone know what to send out with VLC, and then what to enter on the publishing point source with WMS ?

Thanks

I see a lot of reads, but no replys, so I'm going to assume that this will not work..... back to Microsoft's Media services.

Hello,
I guess this is not appropriate section for your question. Before you try "VLC for Windows" section, read videolan wiki and search this forum for the answer.
