[Help] I want to create a extension that whenever I press a key, it raises the subs' position

I watch a lot of series with VLC, and sometimes it bugs me that the subtitles are on top of the credits.

I already have a shortcut that ups the subs, but it goes a pixel at a time.

I want to write a lua extension or something similar that whenever I press PgUp it sets the sub position to upper center, and whenever I press PgDn, it resets the positioning, but I can't find any good documentation on writing extensions. Can someone help me?
