Simple geometry / transform hotkey.

Would it be possible for a hotkey to be used to transform videos by 90 degrees each press (90, 180, 270, original?)
Since VLC devs for some reason think the idea is appalling and have refused it for years, could LUA scripting be used to do this? And is someone willing to do this for me? Might be willing to donate monetarily.
