Hi guys,

I'm pretty new to using Lua so bear with me on my newbieness, but I'm on a fairly tight deadline for a project and am hoping for some assistance in order to get things done in time. So if anyone is willing to help me along a bit I'd appreciate it a lot!

What I need to figure out is how to get the timecode (in the format mm:ss,msms) of a video playing in VLC into a separate window(s)/popup window to place on a different monitor(s), and preferably have it resizable. If anybody could at leas point me to the right way to do any of these things (using the video timecode, getting a separate popup screen, resize) it would be a tremendous help!

Thanks so much,
RA

Hi,
is a (e.g. the default) vlc interface able to print the timecode as desired? (Cannot test atm)

Do you mean the runnig elapsed time? I do not think that you could have anything better than it is already presented by Subtitler (lite) Extension (subtitles in dialog box window). Then there you have a time formatting function in Jump to time (Previous frame).
