I wanna make a script to skip title screens for shows I know. For example the show Dexter has a title screen that lasts about 2 minutes 27 seconds. I wanna make a script that skips 2 minutes and 27 seconds into the tv show if it has the string "Dexter" in the title. I would also like this script to be update-able for any new shows I might encounter.

Only problem is that I have no idea how to code in lua and I don't know where to start.

Could you please help me.

Perhaps you could just ask the author of the script to implement your idea of automatic recognition of a show according its title. It would be really an improvement of the script.
