Adding various information to VLC interface

So i'm researching a project for work, and after reading up, it looks like it's possible to have what I want via scripting, but wanted to ask experienced dev's first just to make sure.

I need to have the total time displayed for a playlist (There's an extension for this already, but requires going to the View menu and the information is displayed in a popup. I need it as either as a fixed window, or added to the bottom of the playlist window)

I need to have the total file size for all items in a playlist (also needs to be fixed)

I need to be able to add various mp3 tags to the list output of the playlist (or in a separate window) for easy reference.

Is all of this doable via a lua extension?

Thanks in advance!

First is already in 2.1.0
The second should be doable with a lua extension.
No idea for the third.

Hi, I've installed 2.1 but don't see the total time for the playlist. I looked in the Preferences but didn't see any option for it. How do I access this feature? Thanks!

Feed the VLC playlist with files, then the total time will appear on the top left side: Playlist [06:03]

I added files to the playlist but the total time still does not appear - I just see the word "Playlist" by itself. I trashed the preferences, tried it with a group of mp3's, as well as a group of video files - no luck.

I'm using 2.1 on a Mac with OS 10.6.8.
