configuring VLCRC?

Hi, I don't know if this is the right place to ask, so sorry just in case.

I need to have several logo's (overlays) to be configured when VLC opens. I can open a logo and the next time VLC opens the logo is still applied,
however I would like to open VLC with a defined logo configured, not just the last one selected.

I have selected a file, opened the VLC folder and copied the VLCRC file to another location, then changed the logo. Now if I open VLC the new logo is
applied, however if I replace the new VLCRC file with the original VLCRC file I get the old logo.

Now the above leads me to believe if I could somehow replace the VLCRC file automatically when selecting VLC shortcuts to defined logos, I could do what
I want. Any ideas suggestions welcome.

Regards Szaxe.

Thanks for the reply ... but I must admit I don't know what to do with the info?

Either you have multiple vlcrc and change configuration at VLC start or you use the --logo command line parameters when playing an item.

Yes I would like to use multiple vlcrc, but don't know how to direct the links to each vlcrc ... I tried creating separate folders with different settings but the original vlcrc always takes precedence. I don't know how to force the vlc start to go to an alternate vlcrc?

You need to pass the --config parameter in vlc.Exe start

Thank you for taking the time to answer and although I haven't followed exactly your info, it did spark a solution that works for me, so again Thanks.
