Prevent VLC from closing because of unsaved data

I managed to make an extension! Hurray. The extension might hold data the user has intended to save when VLC wants to exit (like if VLC has been set to exit when the video ends). Is there a way to delay the exit and show a dialog to save or discard the data? Otherwise, I guess I just have to save the data every time the user takes action.

No. You can only save data within close() function when VLC closes a dialog box of an extension.
