Open Folder in VLC

I work at a Primary School as the ICT technician and I was wondering if there is a script or if anyone can help me with one, that will when clicked (obviously) open a specific folder (containing video_ts and audio_ts) in vlc and start playing just to make things easier for the teachers??

An example of VLC input stream, URL of a DVD (video_ts and audio_ts) copied on hard disk drive in DVD1 folder:
dvd:///D:/DVD1
or
dvdsimple:///D:/DVD1
