Upgrade to VLC 2.0 doesn't play MP4

I upgraded my VLC player 1.1.11 to 2.0.1 and the MP4-files appear without image. Just sound.
The upgrade is supposed to play all media files without codecs, but I had to go back to previous version to play my files.
Tried to install Windows Media Player 11 as well in case there is a dependancy, but it didn't help.
