Playlist, "Recent", etc.

For questions and discussion that is NOT (I repeat NOT) specific to a certain Operating System.

Playlist, "Recent", etc.

Postby Jofo » 20 Mar 2012 02:31

Mac OS X Intel Core Duo. VLC Version 2.0.1 Twoflower.
I use VLC to play all movies, videos, clips, etc. (.avi, .mp4, .mpeg, .wmb, .flv, .mkv...) and I am very satsfied with it,
BUT:
- I don't want the playlist window,
- I don't want any "Recent" list,
- anyway, I want that every list will be cancelled wen I quit VLC.
No option for these purposes?

- Playlist window can be collapsed by clicking the playlist button (3 stacked lines). If you want the controller separate than the video, you may want to deselect "Show video within the main window" in preferences first. You can then still collapse to a simple controller instead of the playlist.

- For Open Recent menu, go to Preferences -> Show All -> Interface -> Main Interfaces -> macosx and deselect "Keep Recent Items".

- Playlist items aren't remembered through restarts.
