there is a bug that is in vlc since... it the pause function for the sound.

when pausing a video, the image stops directly but the sound continue a seconde more with a horrible sound like the "tuh-huh-tuh" very fast with the same sonority than the last second played. :?

it do the same thing with music files. i check up other players to see if it was a hardware problem or so, but no, vlc is the only player to stop sound with latency and with a crappy hash.

can you fixe this ?

thanks you

Since ... when ? Statistically, that would be VLC 2.0.0 on Windows but I don't really feel like playing riddles.

While it is a VLC bug, only computers with terrible broken audio device drivers are affected.

i had the same problem with 1.2 and also with my other comptuer..

My audio device is an m-audio 2496. i don't think this kind of cards made for computer music have terrible drivers.

i always had this problem only with vlc. With Quicktime, WMP,or spotify it's right.

So it's a problem from vlc, it's obvious.

Sane modern drivers don't let the audio hardware loop through its cyclic buffer over and over in case of underrun.
