Showing Still Images

Postby sjsoldo » 14 Mar 2012 05:18

I use VLC mostly to view short movie clips. However, some of my material are still images and when I go to view them I just get the orange cone.

More info: I look at medical images in a format called DICOM that VLC supports quite nicely. A patient file will include moving images of the heart, but also some still pictures of measurements. I cannot get the still pictures to display. Once again, just get the orange cone.

Any way to remedy this? Thank you.

I don't understand your problem sorry. I think you need to be more clear.

Playlist contains moving images (i.e. short movies) and still images. Movies play normally but still images do not display, just get the orange cone. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried v2.1 (Twoflower)
I have the opposite problem in that I play files by dragging folders or multiple files into VLC and my video folders contain thumbnail mosaics which I want VLC to ignore but depending on the version of VLC, sometimes it will ignore images and play the next video, and sometimes VLC will open images, as 2.1 is doing, yet I can't find any option to ignore images in the playlist.
