VLC has no access to external harddrive via http client

Heyho

i just installed Version 2 on WinVista 32bit Home Premium and tried the HTTP Interface to controll my VLC from other Computers in my Network.
Works fine except of the Fact that my wohl harddisk partition on which VLC is installed is visible by the webinterface user. This is a problem because of two reasons.
First, my music is saved on my external harddrive so its another partition. Second, i dont want every webinterface user to view all my data.
So what i want to do is: Find an option where I can access other partions. A nice feature would also be to forbid to access other paths than the configured.

Any Solutions for me?
Sorry for my bad english. If there is something you can't understand, please ask.
Thanks in advance

The VLC HTTP UI is just another UI. There are no reasons why it would expose or not expose the same files than the GUI.

You're probably not using the right tool for the job.

I don't use Windows and this is a non-issue on other platforms. But as far as I recall, the file browser shows the list of drive letters at the root.

If this is not the case, file a bugreport, and I will check on win32
