Can I record livesteam from livestream.com ?

I have vlc 2.0.0 installed on my windows vista 64 and like to use it to record livesteam video from:

http://livestre.am/vC1

This link is output from http://www.livestream.com/tidetrader when I play the video in a browser.

This is what I did in vlc:

step 1) media > open network stream > enter the URL above
step 2) click play

nothing happening after that. Did I miss something? Any help will be appreciated.

have you tried with vlc 1.1.11. select the codec while streaming. Once go through the capture mode settings, i think you will find it.

I just installed vlc 1.1.11, still got nothing after the following steps:

1) media > open network stream ... > enter "http://livestre.am/vC1" > select "stream"
2) click "next" > add file > enter local filename, leave default for the rest:
.... display locally unchecked
.... activate transcoding checked, profile "video - H.264 + AAC (mp4)"
3) click "next" > take all defaults:
.... stream all elementary stream unchecked
.... sap announce blank, group name blank
.... Time-To-Live (TTL): 1
4) click stream

I am not sure which profile is suitable for livestream, it is not intuitive.
Any further recommendation? Thanks.
