Jerky HD videos when viewing with a projector

Postby sylock » 22 Feb 2012 17:01

Hello Guys,

I use VLC for a long time and never had to complain about it. Some weeks ago I bough a video projector (Optoma). Sometimes (but not always) I have a jerky video, the most often on long and fast travellings.

I searched the net and read about the "judder" effect. This happens when the video source does not match the vsync of your display hardware (the most often : ntsc on pal hardware). So I tested some tools mentionned : PowerDVD with the "reclock" plugin. With that piece of software the video is really much smooth.

Is anyone know something about that? And if there is some plugin or some config available to get the same result with VLC? I'd want to continue using VLC...

Regards,
Nicolas
