Problems with ts file

Hello,
i have problems to read a ts file recorded with my dvbs/t tuner (technomate 6902). When i try to read the file, nothing happens. It doesnt work neither under linux (Opensuse vlc version 1.1.13) nor under windows vista (vlc 1.1.11). But the file is readable with xine, mplayer, dvbviewer, ...
and nothing happens...
As the problem is happening under two different oses and two different hardwares i presume that the problem is in vlc. Futhermore the file can be read with other softwares.
