How to change the font size of subtitles?

How to change the font size of subtitles?

I can change the font size to small,large and very large but I want to change the subtitles to a specific font size.I want to know how to change the font of the .srt or .sub file to 16,18 or 24.Can anyone tell me a way of how to do this?Thanks. 8)

Yes. I was trying to change subtitle size but it doesn't work.

Whenever I try to change the subtitle font type from Arial Black to other one, nothing changes.
If I try to change the subtitle size from 12 to 18 for example, it's not possible. When I open the window again it's at 12.

I'm using VLC 1.1.12 intel 64 and Mac OS X 1.7.3

You can do it:
Tool -> Preferences -> All -> Video -> Subtitles/OSD -> Text renderer -> Font size in pixels.
