Is there ANY way to hear sound after fast forwarding 4x?

For questions and discussion that is NOT (I repeat NOT) specific to a certain Operating System.

Is there ANY way to hear sound after fast forwarding 4x?

Postby melkisgoed » 25 Dec 2011 16:15

VLC has the habit to disable the sound if the speed goes faster than 4x. I want to disable this option, is there any way that this is possible? :geek:

You can recompile the code if you want to change/remove the limit. But sounds will be so distorted and so shifted out of the human earing that it is not very useful.

That shouldn't be a problem for me. But how do I recompile the code?

This is documented on the wiki and in the source code.
