Toolbar confusion

I just upgraded from 1.1.11 to 1.3 and have a couple of questions:

In windowed mode, I use the elapsed/total time indication all the time; this has disappeared. In the toolbar editor, I was able to drag it from the Fullscreen to the Line 2 bar -- but this seems to delete it from the Fullscreen bar?

In fullscreen mode, I used to be able to get a control bar by moving the mouse pointer to the bottom of the screen -- but this no longer happens. Any hints?
