Subtitle display

I play all the movie with .srt subtitle in English and chinese is good and smooth, like play in Zoomplayer. Somehow the chinese subtitle is not work when playback in VLC media player V1.1.11, am I miss something? Thanks!

I tried several times to correct the subtitle to go with the movie, I give delay up or delay down simply nothing happens. Before vlc i use smplayer, whe i gave delay up or delay down, work indeed. What would be the problem? I do not think it's normal.
