Low audio level

Postby vudeshie » 19 Sep 2011 04:45

Hi,

I just got a new DELL laptop. the audio level on the VLC Media player is really low for all media. The media work fine with Windows Media Player but somehow the volume on VLC does not go high. I can barely hear the sound.
Its a WIndow7 laptop with IDT high definition audio CODEC.
I have reinstalled VLC just to ensure that my install was not correct but it did not make a difference. I have the latest version as of today. I saw a post that I should delete appdata/vlc but I dont know how to do that and not sure if that will help.

Please advise.

Thank you for your help.

Regards
