No sound with AAC

Hi there,

with a mkv file I have no sound.

Saw the codec used and it's MPEG AAC Audio (mp4a), channels 3F2R/LFE.

Bizarro thing is that when I switch between audio channels (2 channels, one english and one japanise), and sometimes, I can hear the sound for about 0.1 sec and then nothing.

My system is Windows7.

I can upload the file if you want.

Tried to install the matrovska pack, tried to install the CoreAAC Directshow filter 1.2.0.575 rev.3, nothing worked.
Tried to uninstall VLC and cache and install again, did not worked.

From I remember, the last time I played that file was... 6-7 years ago with an unknown version of vlc on windows XP and it worked fine.

What should I do please ?

I've just did a test with an old computer with VLC 0.8.6c

The sound works but it's a little 'noisy'

Yep, it's a bug and a regression with AAC LTP: ticket 5257.
