logo transparency option ignored?

Hello all.
I noticed
this works with transparency 128:
vlc file --sub-filter logo{file='g:\video\sintel_ntsc\cone.png,,128'}
however this seems to ignore the transparency settings:
vlc file --sub-filter logo{file=g:\video\sintel_ntsc\cone.png,transparency=128}
Anybody know what might be the issue?
