cannot convert ogg to mp3

I used to do this on daily basis a while ago, but have not done it for a while. needed it today and tried on version 1.1.10 without success. upgraded to 1.1.11, again cannot convert. I select the ogg to be converted, assign an mp3 name, select mp3 config, and press start. then nothing happens. no file appears under the related directory or any parent directory; vlc does nothing.

Can VLC play the OGG file in a first place ?

If so then open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) before you start the conversion and then paste the full resulting log here or on Pastebin if it's too long.
Also upload a SHORT sample of a problematic source file to Multiupload.com, so it will upload the file for you to several other hosts, and then post the link to the file here.

thanks lotesdelere

yes, it does play ogg.

here is the log:

stream_out_standard error: no mux specified or found by extension
main error: stream chain failed for `transcode{vcodec=none,acodec=mp3,ab=320,channels=2,samplerate=44100}:file{dst='C:\Documents and Settings\Desktop\anyonesdaughter_1983_live\Anyone's Daughter - 1983 - Live\01 - Konsequenzen.mp3'}'
main error: cannot start stream output instance, aborting

sorry, I don't know how to extract a sample from a song, so I uploaded a short song. here is the download link: http://www.multiupload.com/IY1X1TOWRV

thanks, but how do I add mux= raw? I don't see a "mux" choice in the conversion tool. there is a tab where raw is one of the options, and that is already selected.

In the std part.

thanks, but I don't know what "std part" refers to either. there's no such item in the conversion tool. could you direct me to the specific menu item/tab where this needs to be fixed?
