Recovering time after network topology change!

Postby nst » 17 May 2005 15:05

Hello! After a network change in network topology the player freeze the image and sometimes it can't recover the image! Is there any configuration value to change in order to decrease the recovering time? Thank you!

1: you didn't describe the network topology
2: you didn't describe the stream (codecs, format, carrierstream)
3: you didn't specify the version of VLC
4: you didn't specify the OS.

etc etc etc

The network topology is based in few RSTP cisco switches. The problem was verifyed with mpeg and dvd movies. We are using the VLC video player version 0.8.1 and it is running in windows XP machines. Do you have any idea of what parameter to change in VLC to decrease the time of recovering the image, after the RSTP protocol converge due too some change in path costs? Thank you!
