MPEG transport stream without current time position

I can't see current position in seconds from the beginning of a .TS file. This is such a file I recorded with my digital terrestrial TV decoder:

As you can see, VLC displays 0:00 all the time. I need to know current position in second since I want to cut those files (removing ads). Indeed it should be better if you can see milliseconds. Currently I must see it with ffplay.
