Quality issue when playing.

(I spent a while searching through the forum and couldn't find any similar threads, but I apologize if there is)

When playing a video I often get quality issues, shown in the picture below. It happens on full screen and on regular but it doesn't happen with every video. Does anyone know why or how to fix it?

Reset preferences and upgrade video drivers. If it doesn't work, change video output in preferences.

Thank you! All I needed to do was reset the preferences, very simple. But to be honest I wouldn't have figured it out on my own!
