Perspective distortion

Postby josvanr » 03 Jun 2011 22:52

hi

I want to use vlc media player to capture video from webcam. Can vlc remove
the perspective distortion: ie when I point the cam at a rectangular document,
where the cam is at an angle, the document will appear to have a trapezium shape.
Can vlc remove this distortion? (Similar to mplayer: here I enter the 4 coordinates
of the angle points of the document in the right filter, then the distortion is removed
and a rectangular document is displayed. Problem: mplayer cannot display and record
at the same time..)

In theory yes, but I don't think there is such a video filter in the current code base.
