mouse settings reset

Postby badbaud » 24 Apr 2011 10:05

While browsing through a folder of .MOV files I had saved from my camera I would double click my mouse over a file and play it in the VLC player.

Close the player, then double click on a different .MOV file in the folder to view it, VLC is set to play a .MOV file automatically when the file is double clicked on.

My mouse is set to so that pressing the middle button produces a double click.

After opening and viewing then closing a couple of .MOV files the double click feature on my mouse was turned off and the acceleration of the mouse pointer was reset to slow.

I closed everything and went to the control panel and reinitialized my mouse settings. The mouse moved fine until I closed the mouse settings screen, then it reverted to no middle button double click and a slow pointer.

I had used the latest version of MouseWare to set up my mouse initially (around 4 months ago).

I had to reboot my computer to reset whatever VLC did to my mouse.

Strange but true.

Any suggestions?
