Crashes when viewing DVB-T (program vs programs)

Postby Joao » 20 Mar 2011 09:10

Help! One day every thing was fine and the other VLC started crashing when viewing DVB-T.

When I use the command line : vlc.exe dvb-t://frequency=842000000 :dvb-bandwidth=8 :program=1101
The program rarely crashes.

But when I use : vlc.exe dvb-t://frequency=842000000 :dvb-bandwidth=8 :programs=1101,1103
The program crashes most of the times, after a couple of seconds. And I'm able to select all channels, not only the two.

Does anybody have a clue? At least a way to have only two channels available for selection.

Some unrelated info : Windows XP, VLC 1.0.5 (crashes less often), capture card AVerTV Hybrid.

TIA.

Well, let me "unanswer " my question. I believe some days ago something changed in the DVB Mux. Now it's difficult for VLC to "grab" the transmission, when an error occurs in a stream the program crashes, before it could cup with errors.

This is the command line I use to save 2 channels:

vlc.exe dvb-t:// :dvb-frequency=842000000 :dvb-bandwidth=8 :programs=1101,1103 :sout=#duplicate{dst=std{access=file,mux=ts,dst=%ondegravar1%},select="program=1101",dst=std{access=file,mux=ts,dst=%ondegravar3%},select="program=1103"} --run-time %temporizador% vlc://quit

But this way VLC "chews" on every stream causing it to crash more often.

If only I could make VLC "see" only the video and audio streams I want...maybe it would crash less often.
