Crash when transcoding file in 1.1.7

Hi!
When i try to convert a video and want the audio to another format i get no sound at all. Mediainfo shows that there is no sound present in the file. I read somewhere else in this forum, that i should try to set the sampling rate to 48.000. Then the VLC crash immediately whatsoever what soundformat i choose.
What's the problem and can it be fixed??
