If I try the "username:password@" syntax in the address, VLC will then try to connect to a server named "username." Everything works fine in RealPlayer (that is, if I try and play the file, it will ask me for username and password, and if I modify it to have the "username:password@" syntax, it will work without prompting me).
Does anyone have any advice before I submit a bug report?
