G.726 ADPCM Audio

Postby Otheum » 15 Apr 2005 20:19

Hey! I was wondering if anybody could help me understand why VLC will not play a video clip's sound with the G.726 ADPCM Audio. The clip itself will play but the sound will not. Is there a codec that can be downloaded to fix this? I am a Mac user and was wondering what could be done about this. Would the manufacturer of the camcorder that I used to record the clip have something to fix this?

taking a peek at the current sources it seems like vlc should be able to handle that codec. Perhaps your vlc version is old, or this feature is very new. Try a nightly build from http://www.videolan.org/~videolan

If this doesn't work, the problem could be the demuxer. Then tell us the extension of the file, and post the messages from the messages window.
