what is the working mechanism of VLC?

For questions and discussion that is NOT (I repeat NOT) specific to a certain Operating System.

what is the working mechanism of VLC?

Postby haiying7 » 26 Jan 2011 10:06

Hi,

I am a new hand for developing VLC. I am reading the source code of VLC and it confused me. Could anyone give me a help? The first question is where the main function is? Is /bin/vlc.c the main function?

The second question is where the functions in video_output.c and display.c are called?

The third one is that some input and output files are in two directories, one is /vlc-1.1.5/modules/, the other is /vlc-1.1.5/src/, do they have different actions?

Thx...
