Troubles with bad H264 files

Postby gliomarto » 21 Jan 2011 11:26

Usually when I was encountering bad sectors in videos, VLC would just either skip them or freeze for me to manually jump over it. But this time, when I was watching h264 video, on encountering lost buffer around 25th second, VLC instead jumped to the beginning. And if I go directly to some second after 26th, it jumps roughly 25 seconds back, so, if I jump to 51th second, it jumps right to the bad frame at 26th and then back to the beginning, but if I go to 52th it jumps back to the 27th and continues from here on. And as there were a few more lost buffers, this "delay" was stacking, and by the end of video it was jumping about 3 minutes back, and due to that I was unable to watch the last three minutes.

VLC version is 1.1.15
