VLC disabling auto correcting title

Postby xchimpyx » 12 Jan 2011 22:53

I was wondering how to disable that feature on the playlist that auto corrects the title to the original title that was name when it was ripped or first downloaded on the computer. I am using the latest version of VLC 1.5. I know later versions don't have this problem and I was wondering if this version has an option in the preferences to disable it. Unless I was just blind and didn't see it right in front my face in playlist option in advance.

For an example of the situation: I have the video ripped from Bobby McGee's Epic Adventure Season . I name the first episode BMEA - Episode 1 the playlist changes it automatically changes to DVD Disc 1 etc etc whatever the disc is named it.

Well no. VLC automatically sets the title to whatever is specified in the file meta data. If the meta data is crap, you have a problem, and it's not with VLC.
