VLC remote file issue

Hello,
I am using VLC remote app for my iphone. It works great, however the only issue I am having is the ease ability of accessing my files. I have hundreds of movies on a hd that are categorized by genre with a good folder structure. On the VLC desktop program, I can keep this structure by copying the folders into the Media Library tab. Unfortunately, this tab doesn't show up with the remote app, only playlists. I can not seem to create multiple playlists (to keep the folders organized) rather it imports all of the files into one massive directory. Any ideas?
Also, is there a way to get my movie artwork?
