VLC Player 1.1.5, Docked Playlist ... No Video!

VLC Player 1.1.5, Windows 7 64-bit.
[Posting in general forum since I have no evidence this issue is OS specific.]

When I configure for a docked playlist, then select playlist, I see the playlist ... ONLY,
even if move the playlist over to the right of the VLC window. I can hear the audio,
but where the video should be is just the VLC cone and lifesaver and empty space.

I can get the video by using view->playlist to toggle, but then the playlist is gone.
In fact, VLC auto toggles to the video (away from the playlist) each time it
transitions to the next playlist element.

In short, docked playlist doesn't work at all, I guess except for audio clips.

It does work as expected. Just undock the playlist.

I'm reporting a bug with the docked playlist.

I'm well aware I can undock it, but I want a docked playlist that works.

Oh, we are well aware of the situation, but it isn't simple to fix...

OK, with the advent of VLC 2.0, we now have a sort of working docked playlist.

That is, I can see the video, but I can only resize if horizontally. I can't make it bigger than a small postage stamp size vertically. I actually see the cursor change to drag cursor when I cross the top border, but i can't drag it.

Come on guys, it's almost there, go the last 10 yards!

bump this business. i can't put in words just how irritating it is to not be able to scale the video bigger in the docked playlist mode... apart from maybe the fact that i registered to the forum solely for this purpose! the only thing the handle allows you to do is hide the video, not scaling it, why is this? is there no other way to implement a playlist in the same window as the video? it's just messy. maybe make the docked playlist a thing of the past and just have the playlist directly integrated into the video window and just have a handle available for hiding it when the need arises? of course fullscreening can still work the same as it always does without that coming up as well because you've made it so that it has it's own layer but in anycase, i would greatly appreciate this... and now i know i'm not the only one irked by this. i mean... pretty pleaseeeee? if not for me why not for those of us who've donated to help make this the TOP media player? anyway, i hope everyone is well and i'm eternally grateful for your time and patience. cheers!

Will try to do it for 2.1. Try a nightly build
