VLC won't display Thai subtitle

Dear All,

Need your precious help. I have downloaded VLC player 1.1.5. While playing my movie the player cannot display Thai subtitle. It can display English and Chinese. I try changing the fonts to get the thai character to work but only display ???????????????????????. I have try using UTF 8, Unicode and even change the font to Arial unicode and Angsana UPC but no good. I have try every methods found in the internet but still could not get it work. Please help. Thank You.

If it's all question marks, you did not select the correct encoding for the subtitle file. (If it were all squares, you wouldn't have selected an adequate font.)

Dear Remi Dennis,

I have use UTF 8, UTF 16, Unicode etc... to do encoding but it still display ?????????????????. It's ok for chinese but not Thai characters. Please help me. What should I do ?

Sorry, I don't understand the Thai alphabet, and I have no clue what character encoding your subtitles are made with.

Recheck the encoding. Something is buggy there. While I don't understand the Thai language, I'm sure a bunch of ??? isn't good. Is the Thai language encoding from a good source?

Dear All,

I play the same movie on multiple player including Media Player and the Thai subtitle works fine. VLC player somehow display ???????????????????. Please Help.
