Grey line at the bottom of the screen?

When I'm watching some HDTV-sample videos, there is a grey bar at the bottom of the screen in fullscreen mode. These are not in the video because they work with my friend (he's using windvd).

Any ideas? I wonder what is causing the gray bar and can it be changed to black somehow?

If you do a search you will find the answer...

But just in case...

The bar you are seeing is caused because mpeg2 has to be divisble by 8 and 1080 does not divide properly so the extra 8 bars are added by the decoder.

Some software apps get rid of the bar...some dont.
