Frontend responding, backend not.

This is a very weird problem, so I'll try to explain it the best I can.

After a few hours of playing my music collection on repeat and shuffle, VLC media player will simply stop playing my music after reaching the end of a song. The weird part is that the VLC media player interface still works; I can click buttons and go through menus, but doing this seems to have no effect on actually getting the music started again. So far, the only way I've found to restart the music is to go through Windows and double-click a music file to play it with VLC media player. This adds it to the now playing list and starts playing everything again; it even starts repeating and shuffling the songs after the first song ends.


I have encountered this problem in both 1.1.4 and 1.1.5. I'm not sure if it existed in earlier versions, since I just recently started using VLC a couple of months ago. I'd really appreciate any suggestions on how to get this to stop happening, as it's a real inconvenience to wake up in the middle of the night to realize that my music has stopped playing.

Well, it took a while to recreate the problem, but here's my log. It's a bit big, over 9 MB.

I noticed on the UI that the timer for the song was stuck at 1 second before the song was supposed to end. Maybe that is somehow related?
