Laptop will play one .xspf file but not the other

I have two .xspf files on my desktop PC that both play fine. If I try to play one.xspf on the laptop by accessing the desktop machine wirelessly, it plays fine. When I try to play two.xspf on the laptop by accessing the desktop machine wirelessly, I get an error window - "File reading failed;" and "Your input can't be opened:" for each of the eight tracks.

If I copy one.xspf to the laptop, it plays fine. If I copy two.xspf to the laptop I get the errors.

I tried creating and saving a new .xspf file and I tried rebooting the laptop and I still cannot play two.xspf.

Any clues why?

Can you paste here the one that does not work?

Do you mean for me to add the file as an atttachment to a post?

Open the XSPF file that doesn't work with a text editor and then copy and paste the whole content here.

Sometime shortly after my last post I figured out how to make it work and I don't remember what I did to resolve the issue.

Recently I added two more .xspf files to my desktop PC and played them successfully a couple of days ago. Today when I go to play the new files, I get the same or similar error messages as in my original post. So I tried to play the files I created previously and now all of them get the errors (shown below).

File reading failed:
VLC could not open the file "C:\Users\Jay\Desktop\Track01.wav".
Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'file:///C:/Users/Jay/Desktop/Track01.wav'. Check the log for details.
File reading failed:
VLC could not open the file "C:\Users\Jay\Desktop\Track02.wav".
Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'file:///C:/Users/Jay/Desktop/Track02.wav'. Check the log for details.

So what happened that files I once could play now get errors?
